So I finished the Blood of Flowers a few days ago. It is about a girl living in Iran trying to live a decent life with her family. They go through struggles that make the reader almost feel like they are facing them as well. I believe the book was very well written. I read other reviews about this book and most say that the author did not research enough about the culture in Iran. However, someone who has no idea about the culture in Iran will enjoy this book because after reading this book I researched everything it talked about since it was so interesting to me. Amirrezvani is excellent at describing every little detail from the story. It almost feels like you are an observant in the world of this book. I would recommend this book to people who are into learning about culture, relationships, and family. This book will touch your heart and mind and maybe even get you to try new things, be grateful for what you have, and take risks because they can save your lives sometimes. The carpet making seems very beautiful and gets you to realize that it is not an easy job. I would give this book 4.5/5 stars.
